Eric L: Curious what you think of Phone.com? Since I have found Dr J to be right in his judgement and careful in his statements, I remain puzzled by his coolness to WAP.

Is WAP a temporary flash in the pan or does it have staying power?

I own some Phone.com as part of a "basket", but am uneasy about it, while I have much more confidence in Psion in that same basket. (As you can see, basket is broadly defined for me)

In fact the basket I like best is Qualcomm.

What thinkest thou?

Best.

Thanks, Eric. That's a good site, and not just for the article on WAP, etc.

I'd not heard of CMG, which appears to be a purer-play alternative than Nokia or Motorola (which wraps some of its own software around a PHCM offering, I believe). I will look at CMG some more.

Best,
John
