Schwab and Fidelity. I had my acct at Schwab since inception but am in the process of moving to Fidelity because they let you buy 'uncovered' puts & calls and Schwab doesn't. Plus historically I stayed with Schwab because they offered a higher level of service than the typical discount broker. That's no longer true & I can't justify paying their higher commissions for what has become mediocre service. BTW, this is more than just personal opinion. A few months back Schwab customers received a letter from Chuck (Schwab) & Dave (Pottruck), co-CEO's, apologizing for the decline in service. Unfortunately, other than a letter of apology, nothing material's being done about it.
