Did you say patents? Remember that Chris is a patent examiner, he's got complete and total access to the entire "database,"* not just what's online. And he loves trains.

So, if you can formulate the question, he can probably find the relevant patents, and make a copy (during his lunch hour, of course, he's a straight arrow).

*The old time patents are kept in "shoes", that is, boxes the size and shape of shoeboxes, which is the way that Thomas Jefferson set it up. I think he used real shoeboxes. They are arranged by category, called an "art".
