LTV - a couple of points. Yes, they have Signature Platinum and Gold services for active traders or wealthy individuals. I definitely wouldn't use Schwab unless you can get into the Platinum program as the service below that is extremely mediocre. Unfortunately, Schwab appears to think the way to improve service is by offering more research, access to advisors, etc. rather than improving on their execution. I think this is consistent with Chuck's view of the investment process. He hates daytraders although internally there's always been a tug-of-war between his philosophy and the marketing folks who want the revenues active traders generate. FWIW and in the interests of full disclosure, I worked there for 9 years. Saw it go from a fun, entrepreneurial company to a large, cumbersome bureaucracy <g>.
