How to use the 20 MA in addition to the 5 EMA / 8 MA: From observation (not actual backtesting), the crossing of the 8 MA with the 20 MA can tell us if we are in an uptrend (and limit ourselves to buy the 5/8 crossing) or downtrend (limit ourselves to short). We do miss some wild reversal trades, but we do keep the meat of the run... and I would guess we make it out with less commission and whipsawing. Tell me what you guys think. We have enough of a big stable to keep us very active and concentrate only on the best probabilities trade. example: 207.61.23.98
