I'm shocked to hear that Circuit City is the gauge of all CPU sales. Truth is I don't think Intel makes anything as slow as 700 MHz anymore except for Celerons.

Circuit City and Fry's ;^))

The stores are full of 550-700 MHz PIII's. If Intel doesn't manufacture them anymore, that would indicate that Intel is having trouble selling them.

Of course, why would anyone buy a 600 Mhz PIII, when they could get a 900 MHz Athlon system, for about the same price.
