Ever hear Tom Jones belt that "Fight Fire with Fire" tune?...love that one...I know, I have this goofy habit of slingin mud right after I've gotten a face full myself and I did think it was a bit disingenous for someone who associates himself with someone who was just hauled off to jail to point fingers in my direction...ever hear the one about "the company you keep"? I just get a kick out of people who look to call you out for all your supposed wrong doings when in fact they're hiding behind a pretty thin veneer themselves...kinda like all those senators who were looking to take Clinton out for the Monika Cohiba thingie and only having to go as far as the bathroom mirror to figure out who's equally guilty. On a more personal note, you seem to have a knack for a) sticking your nose in other people's business and doing some self righteous verbal rant and b) taking the far side of a situation and going into fantasy land ala the NRA, paranoid visions, David Koresh and the like...this was just a good ole fashioned cat fight, no deep conspiracies, cover ups or FBI involvement...sorry, less exciting than you had expected...please, no more X-File reruns for you. p.s. I hate the NRA. p.s.s. do you really group GE with the rest of the "big financials"??!!...("please ask them why GE was so sluggish Friday while the rest of the big financials were going through the roof)"...well, let us see, they do aircraft engines, appliances, industrial systems, power mgt, information services, lighting, medical systems, plastics, power systems, and transportation systems...THEY ARE AN INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION!!!...also, while GE Capital Services and CNBC represent healthy portions of the pie, it is REALLY a stretch to compare GE to the likes of JP Morgan or Chase...GE non-fins are some $55B of the $60B in total revs for '99...gives me some indication that you may wish to stick to consiracy theories and leave investing and the markets to those who are better informed...John Welch would be flattered, but more likely amused by your assertion. p.s.s.s. GE was actually up on Fri from Thurs close, so perhaps "sluggish" would not be the best use of the word.
