Dave, yes- those are all considerations. the way Chris does them , is thru long term options ... and he demonstrated how he searches for his candidates - he does quite a lot of strategizing using the CBOE calculator, various VIXs, gammas, deltas. He spends quite a bit of time checking out all the variables before he commits... it is really like a giant puzzle the way he pulls them together. And he won't settle for small returns... he won't put on the trade for less than a 7:1 return.
