It was never my intention to do a complete analysis of all mines, just some of the largest ones.
A good source for all kinds of detailed mine data is: minecost.com

What I did do, however, is add about 40 large mines to my spreadsheets. This covers over 25 million ounces of production, 300 million ounces of reserves, at an average cash cost of $US176, and total cost of $US220. I couldn't find enough detail on individual SA mines. I am getting more 1999 annaul report data, so additional information is getting added.
