ENI has the currency shift advantage as well.

I also see that the Canadian dollar is finally moving the expected direction against the usd, so your Canadian holdings will now start appreciating against those denominated in usd, regardless if they are equal in every other way.

But it's really only the beginning. The Canadian dollar is more sensitive to the price of gold than the price of energy - it is perhaps the most sensitive currency (maybe the rand can keep up, I'll ask Heinz.) - so when gold moves in earnest, things will get very interesting.
