Sergio,

I'll repeat my pick for the "free drink" contest...

ESST: semi conductor sector. Sept.1 sell date, no matter what the price is bought it at 13.25....no trades will be counted in the %gain on Sept.1.

I know that you are reading like crazy to find a stock that you hope will beat ESST, but time is ticking!!

Ken

Hi Sergio and all,
Can I get in the contest?
WGAT is beating hell out of all the candles with a hammer
triple bottom ,cup and handle, moving average is a plus.
Do I know what I am talking about? No way.
I know I am losing several hundred thousands.
And I am into my 5th martini.
Can I play?
Arnie

Hello Sergio. If we are talking about a September timeframe then I think we will go through traditional summer correction in tech stocks and I think many will take out recent lows closing gaps that were created on Tuesday. Given that scenario I think best bet is to short high fliers with astronomical or no p/e. If one has the guts then I think a short of a stock like TERN is in order. It may go higher from here, but I ultimately look for it to fill gap in low 40s. There are dozens of others with similar charts.

Whussappaning Sergio?

One pick for 2 months? Cary hasn't submitted PILT yet? I'll do it instead then. 140% on Sept 1 shouldn't be too tough for it. ;-)

Good market analysis Sergio...

I still think the economy is starting to turn down... At worst, we should have just one more rate hike... That's already factored into the market... So, there are no more surprises regarding the Greenspan Gang... Unless of course, Andrea Mitchel is expecting... : >

I look for the techs to continue to lead the market... Established tech and internet leaders should do well in the coming months...

Sergio

Thanks to you and Ken for the notice on the Amigos contest. I will go with a long on the CRB index. Current ticker for the June is CROM. Value at close is 224.6 last trade. Will roll into the Sept contract next Monday close.

This is not the optimal entry for this index but the target of mid 230s should be reached within 2 months and likely will hang around that area for a while.

CRB index futures margin requirement is around 1500 per contract and moves at 500 per point. Thus a 10 point move is 5k value move.
