Way OT. You should be grateful youir wife collars you before wandering in there <g>. Actually, that and AOB were the combination watering hole/ meeting hall/ restaurant/ singles joint/ real estate deal making/ construction office/ confessional/ and certain other services available within several hundred square miles. No wonder they modeled "South Park" after that place. I still remember hauling a ton of lumber, wire, paint, and assorted odds and ends in blinding blizzards over the pass to build my place at over 10,000 feet, and having to do multiple runs down there to get advice, get some help, get a beer, or all of the above. Those were the days (sigh). Rick, you shouldn't bring this crap up. CDMA... yeah, well, it's becoming the Betamax of the cellular industry. The better technical solution doesn't always win the marketplace, or doesn't get adopted in the timeframe that investors want. GSM sucks, but it's the first technology since the hot air baloon that the Europeans can claim on their own. Which is like making claim to the auto because you put fins on a cadillac. China Unicom is probably smart to not throw money at narrowband CDMA, but they are stupid to throw money at expanding GSM to get W-CDMA. But who knows what their motives are, or how much truth there is in their statements. I've always thought that qcom's chinese royalties were questionable anyway, I can't see the Chinese forking over hard currency for international patent rights, when they can claim some other flavor of cdma, or just say KMA, as they do. Well, I think qcom will be a good put, unfortunately. Eventually it will be a cdma world, but there are too many penis battles being fought right now.
