Leigh:
The NASDAQ computes to be down 26% off its high, not too bad, right.?
Now take the first 7 stocks listed under NAS "d"s and the average is down *61% off their high
* I used May 26 newspaper to get the figures
Take the first 7 "E" stocks, they are down an average of 60%.
Care to try some "O"'s?
ODS high 31, now 13
On Display, high 133, now 42
Summary:
The point I want to make is we had a severe market correction, worse than I remember from 1987. Using the big cap, popular stocks to compute the NAS under a weighted average does not show the true picture, shareholders in those smaller companies were hit hard.
Am optimistic we have seen the lows- I mean how bad kin it get? And Dell is about even with the Nas, being down 26%

Leigh,
Hi!!

RE: Even if tech earnings do slow, it won't be the end of the world. "Tech earnings will still hold up better than any other sector," Keon says. "If you buy tech stocks now, you'll probably be happy a couple of years from now."

Thanks for the research... :o) What happens when Europe turns around?
:o)

Best, Kemble
