This has been the situation for a while now and hence he speculation in the popular press. I have very little doubt that technical evaluations are more are less complete at this point. Dell probably has till about end of July to officially start the production. Any delays could screw up the Christmas season.
The stakes are extremely high. At this point it is safe to say that Dell is getting Wilamette progress reports almost everyday to see if the program can stay on track for Christmas volumes.
