Don't know Brinker. Maria should learn how to pin him down.
I dont think he is correct with a bearish view because the Fed tightening and Fed posture may in fact change from aggressive to neutral. Also, the effects of Fed tightening is usually not felt for 9-12 months and we are just starting to see the effect now from previous rate hikes. When the employment numbers GDP, PPI in past hurt the market the bears all came out. But now it seems things are changing and we may see a momentum change in volume, advances vs declines.There seems to be catalyst for investor sentiment. I think Brinker is wrong and with a friendlier Fed we should see Intel over 140 before the split. Rick Sherland of Goldman Sachs on CNBC said he thinks the worst is over and investor confidence is back for the tech stocks. Even if they continue to raise rates, Intel won't get hurt that bad.
