Unfortunately no links or reports. I was told by a guy who knows the mkt. Apparently one of the big users of Ilimenite has signed contracts for $150 t! That is up from what I thought was $75 + last yr. There are some notes back on this site about current prices.
What did perk up my ears was the zircon pricing. Apparently there may be a shortage and pricing could go as high as $1000 t over the next 3-5 yrs. Kinda makes ya wnat to start looking around for these projects and see whcih ones are viable. So far NAR falls in that category - but there must be more! Some of these odd metals are getting hard to get. I ran across another thd that talked about TANTALUM - there is another one in short supply and used heavily in transistors and much more preferred than ceramic.
These mkts for this stuff tend to be somewhat closed and secretive. Another case is the Phosphate mkt. It is up from high $30's the past couple yrs to $45+ now and the shortages are getting bigger/tighter as the environmentalists in the US bog down applications for further stripping of existing properties. So it's the non flashy metals / minerals that ya got watch out for along with the PGE's and Au by coincidence it seems!
