I agree. Intel should and has been investing aggressively in new businesses for some time. What I would like to see, is positive evidence that Intel can be sufficiently profitable in anything but their core processor business. So far, I am not at all convinced they can. And by not breaking out the various other business earnings/profits, they invite skepticism. I have seen this very issue brought up several times on this thread. BTW, AMD does report Comm. earnings. They were about $100 million per quarter and moderately profitable.
