I trade options in very liquid stock most times.

This is an interesting and, I think, important point. However, MSFT was far more liquid than JDSU, so if you don't mind I'd be interested to know if you unload those options in stages.

Even buying/selling at the bid/ask might be a problem in less liquid names. I'm only thinking this because of an experience Poet & I had a while back. I had some May 45 GMSTs that at the time were very DIM, and I couldn't unload even a few until she bought them.

I suppose when you are trading a very cheap OTM option, you don't mind being scalped. Becuase the profit is already so obscene.
