Tim,

Forget Intel's greater capacity, it's stock carries a premium just because its Intel. This concept seems to be hard for this thread to get. Its like Mercedes and Cadillac, people will pay more for a Mercedes even if its the same basic car as the Cadillac.

And its more than simply because Intel has greater fab capacity. It has to do with Intel's history....its much higher ROE, its profit consistency year in and year out, its ability to execute well on a regular basis, and its overall manu. prowess. These measurements dwarf AMD's.

Intel has had a number of miscues the past year...nonetheless they are a minor blemish on an otherwise distinguished history. I think it it did more to provide opportunities for AMD than to hurt Intel's good name. I think we need to remember that on this thread.
