BTW, I saw many Faberge eggs several years ago when they were at the San Diego Musuem of Art. PBS has an excellent site: pbs.org The two eggs (Standart and Trans Siberia Railroad) that will be shown in Houston with good photos are at: pbs.org

China may deregulate gold imports within 2 years of WTO entry Hong Kong--June 5--China's expected entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2000 may prompt the government to allow firms other than the central bank to import gold within two years, a gold official in Beijing said on Monday. At present, the central bank strictly regulates the gold imports into China. The government is also seen allowing physical gold trading in the domestic market in 2002 as part of its efforts to make it more market-oriented, the official said.
