Indeed... it is strange however this appears to be the MO of most bears on SI. Come in and pound the table when the market is doing poorly and hibernate during bull runs. In the bear's defense - they have been in hibernation more than not lately but still it is a sign of weakness when they are not around to explain themselves during market upswings.

In all.. the market will outperform and therefore over the long haul it's much easier and safer (less risk) to be long the market than short. Of course there are limits. Converting from cash to 100% equities when the NAZ is at 5000 is probably not smart.... but selling at 3200-3400 is probably equally idiotic. Shorts suggesting that longs should bail at these levels have been smoking too much crack. These are and have been buying opportunities - period... and yes, the NAZ could test the high 2000's and that would be another opportunity to add....
