"Dorel Industries is now a Key Stock" -- Investment Reporter
At long last The Investment Reporter (among the best advisory newsletters anywhere in terms of long-run performance, and one of the most widely read in Canada) has added Dorel to its list of Key Stocks. They devote two full pages of their current issue (June 23) to Dorel, and they cite all of the positives that those of us who have followed (and held) Dorel for many years are already familiar with -- rapid sustained growth in sales, earnings, EPS; successful record of acquisitions; and very attractive current valuation based on trailing and forward PE. Today Dorel traded about 175,000 shares, well above its daily average, and the shares appear set to challenge their historic highs. Check out Dorel's long-run chart (five years or longer) at bigcharts.com (the symbol to type in is CA:DII.B); look at the pattern of higher lows and it appears that Dorel has made a major consolidation and will be moving to new highs in the months ahead. The Investment Reporter also notes that Dorel will begin reporting its results in US dollars in the second quarter; 88 percent of the company's sales are in the US, with just 2 percent in Canada, and Europe accounting for most of the balance. Happy days for Dorel shareholders. Jay
