Scumbria The Register is not an official Intel spokessite and you "accidently" left off this part of the post:

"Refunds on boxed Xeons because of lack of motherboard support".

There was no mention of suspending 700MHz 1,2MB ondie L2 Xeons.

While we're on this subject, why not bring up the point that AMD promised 1GHz and above Thunderturds. Apparently AMD has suspended the shipment of >1GHz Thunderturds. Looks like AMD has suffered yield problems or bugs.

Who will be this first to intro at >1GHz????
