Thanks for the Amkor link, PMF. At the Shareholders' Meeting there was a mention of a new SanDisk patent that had to do with a simplified packaging technique for semiconductors. I am not sure if it has anything to do with the Amkor announcement. Dr. Harari indicated it was a more cost-effective way of packaging some of the product line. biz.yahoo.com I believe that Art B. asked a question about this during one of the conference calls as well. It would appear that as SanDisk's experience in MMC manufacturing builds they may wish to patent certain manufacturing short cuts and other discoveries they make along the way. This is yet another exercise of their potential "Gorilla" power. (I am not saying "Gorilla" to hype the stock, just referring to the book by Geoffrey Moore.) Does anybody have access to some of the recent SanDisk patent approvals and if there is a recent acknowledgement of a packaging process? Ausdauer
