Ken- I spent an hour Saturday trying to find details of BellSouth's FTTC plans and could not turn up a thing. I was certain they were doing something with BLS and Marconi. But your article says Bell Atlantic? I guess I'll have to do some more researching.

Independent of the 'DSL Killer' equipment that Marconi has, they are neglecting to mention that running the fiber(in exsisting copper plants) is a lot more expensive than equipment costs. By a factor of two or three? I posted it once way upstream.

But of course in new builds, FTTH(or FTTC) makes more sense. -MikeM(From Florida)
