Agile Software update......."This last fiscal year saw significant acceleration in our business, as the network effect and our focus on customer success led to a record number of new customers. As a result, we achieved record revenues and growth, while increasing our customer base by more than 50%," commented Bryan D. Stolle, chairman and chief executive officer of Agile. "During the last quarter, we have seen our software license revenues more than double as new and existing customers extended the deployment of Agile's solutions internally and across their supply chains."
On another note, Agile was recently awarded a number of large new and add-on contracts that exceeded 1,000 users from companies like Dell Computer, Johnson & Johnson, NEC and Zhone Technologies. Agile has also been successful in growing the business within the medical device market as more than 40 medical device customers are now taking advantage of Agile's solutions to improve their competitiveness and adherence to FDA regulations.
"For the third consecutive quarter, we witnessed more than 100 of our existing customers add more licenses to their current systems. Also, in the last part of our fiscal year, we won major flagship accounts like Agilent Technologies and Dell Computer who realized the strategic advantage that our solutions offer in the highly competitive high tech industry," concluded Stolle.
Fourth Quarter Highlights
Agile made significant gains during the quarter both in terms of signing new customers and expanding existing accounts. Agile's customer base grew by 47 new customers as the Company continued its success in the electronics and medical device industries as well as the automotive electronics and industrial equipment industries. New customers included Agilent Technologies (NYSE: A), a global leader in designing and manufacturing test, measurement and monitoring instruments, systems and solutions, medical devices, and semiconductor and optical components; C-MAC Industries (TSE: CMS), an international provider of integrated electronic manufacturing services; Dell Computer (Nasdaq: DELL), the world's leading direct computer systems company and a premier provider of products and services required for customers to build their Internet infrastructures; Exodus Communications (Nasdaq: EXDS), a leading provider of complex Internet hosting for enterprises with mission-critical Internet operations; and Zhone Technologies, a manufacturer of purpose-built products to supply large next-generation networks with a rich array of voice, video, Internet, and entertainment services.
Among Agile's existing client base, more than 100 companies added to their existing systems during the fourth quarter ending April 30, 2000. Of note, customers including Amkor Technology, Brocade Communications, Extreme Networks, Flextronics, FujiFilm, GE Medical, Intuitive Surgical, Jabil Circuit, Juniper Networks, Lucent, Marconi, NEC, Network Appliance, Pairgain Technologies, P-Com, Pemstar, Redback Networks, Sycamore Networks and Unisphere Solutions all added substantially to their existing systems.
