I do understand the SS system, and agree with most of what you say. The younger people will get an even worse deal than I am getting. But the "fund" is not holding US treasury bonds, it is only a journal entry which may amount to the same thing and may not. I have never liked any part of it. It is a marxist system set up to take care of the people who do not have the discipline to take care of themselves. Our electorate always wants help from the Gov't, and apparently don't recognize that in order to do something for us, they first have to steal the money from us, and create an expensive bureaucracy to administer the program. Then the masses find ways to abuse it.
