I went ahead and visited the sites that you've listed here. You're a bit confused, it seems, by what Echelon does versus the companies you've listed. Sure, most of these companies you've listed here don't say they use LonWorks, but most of them are using competiting protocols that have been identified in previous posts. In fact, most of these companies are using either CEBus or X-10 . Go here for howardroark 's brief but good explanation of these technologies:

One way to look at this market is to think of all of the companies you've listed as either resellers, integrators or manufacturers of products based on competing standards. If you continue to dig, you'll find hundreds of companies doing the same thing, except focusing on LonWorks. It's really a battle of platforms. Most of believe the ELON will be the winner of that battle, and there are many posts here that explain why. In fact, one of the companies you listed, PHAST, states that it is interoperable with LonWorks. That's good to see.
