SUNW has been completely open with the APIs as well as providing free JDK's. JAVAONE will be more highly attended than TechEd (about 30-40% more). Most of the sources quoted in margie's piece are paid schill's of MSFT. It doesn't appear that there is much discord with these numbers. All this is irrelevant, Java is winning the battle and MSFT is not responding. This is called poor strategic management. The bottom line, if you are a developer you better switch from VB and Visual C++ to JAVA for ASP's. JMHO.
