Clappy! That is why they did not tip him more....they gave him a slice of pizza.

I also have a funny feeling that this little slimey good for nothing delivery boy is a quick change artist and has that cotton pickin' dollar we are all looking for.

I ain't looking no more till somebody shakes that little sucker down....."HEY! joel you're a big guy turn him upside down and give him a good shake......"

See look what fell out....them cotton pickin' 4 quarters....

Geez!
dealer (walking away real proud, cause she done solved it!)

who get's the extra slice Easy...the fastest reach<g>

Your math problem:

Food Cost is fixed=$25
Tip is variable cost=$2
Total Cost to Pizza eaters: $27

Your problem is that you are applying "change" to cost reduction which is not accurate.
If that were logical, then $27 total cost with a $3 return would make original per person "cost" a measly $8 per. ($27-3) Then you'd have even more money missing<ggg>

Pizza eaters gave $30 to delivery boy
Delivery boy gives $3 change to Pizza Eaters
Total Cost to Pizza Eaters is STILL $27, but now includes tip.

So Fixed food costs=$25 Divided by 3 pizza eaters or: $8.333
Tip is variable cost=$2 Divided by 3 pizza eaters or: $0.667

...and the returned overpayment is just that...Change...
Never in the history of eating out or "dining in" does returning change reduce the cost of a meal to the consumers.

In fact, wanna guess how many of us would grab the ticket, flip it over, write on the back who we had over for pizza, ascribe some high-falutin' business reason to the get-together, claim a $5 tip was paid, and pocket the $3<gggg>

Sleep well tonight, Clappy.
Ole "yeller money" 49r

From Sellers point of view: $30-5=$25
