Perhaps. Then again, the next T-bird speed grade isn't due until Q3, so until then, AMD will just have to ride out the performance impact of the longer latency.

I'm sure the T-bird architects had their reasons to make the latency that long and the BSB rather narrow compared to Coppermine. I wish I knew what those reasons were, but since we'll never know for sure, I guess we'll just have to keep speculating.
