Elmer,

Timna is supposed to such an integral part of Intel's plan to squeeze AMD. Timna on the bottom and Willy on top. But now this Timna part is being DELAYED??? I thought it was supposed to revolutionize the sub-$600 PC market this year. With its integrated memory controller and video on the same die as the processor, this is sure to be a good selling processor. But now it is being DELAYED because Intel management allowed the decision to force it to use DRDRAM to maximize performance? Now, all that is being maximized is Intel's designing new revisions of the MTH! As someone once elegantly alluded, DRDRAM is the albatross around Intel's neck.

Duron + SIS chipset has video, sound, modem, north AND south bridge integrated. This will be VERY competitive with Celeron II PCs, especially this Christmas season, an important time Timna will miss because Intel says Timna is being DELAYED!

RE: "No comment."

Sorry to put you in a position where you have to respond like that. I didn't realize...

No wonder you were so positive on AMD when you got back. Did you know about the Timna delay before you left?
Does Intel know you are a AMD shareholder? Keep up the good work! <G>
