Hi Scumbria; Re that Timna PR:

Intel delays Timna chip until Q1 2001; cancels MTH
ntel Corp. said today that it has canceled the controversial Memory Translator Hub (MTH) component, and the delay will push out the company's Timna integrated processor until the first quarter of 2001.

The thing to note is that instead of releasing Timna for RDRAM, Intel delayed it until the MTH would allow SDRAM to used with it. This has to be an indication of what Intel thinks is the trend in RDRAM vs SDRAM pricing.

Nonsense...

You were wrong about the DDR + T-bird and now you are doubling down. <G>

INTC can put out a 32 MB low end Timna with PS-II style packaging and RDRAM performance.

:)
