There are certain dishes that just don't translate well cross-culture, like marmite, steak-and-kidney pie, and warm beer. (Funny how all three are English, what?) And I opine that poutines are one of them. I suggest that aerosol cheese is one of the US's dishes that just don't translate well into other cultures, although having seen pate in a squeeze tube, I can't be sure.
