Sure inflation news is significant and it gets covered regularly -- sometimes ad nauseum.

As to "total system failure," I don't recall having seen that lately. Have you seen it lately? Last time I recall anything close was the Asian crisis (and the ripples from it) and it was covered extensively. I take it back, I think Russia followed Asia, but it, too, was covered extensively.

None of that was your point though -- not to mention it not being my original point. Your point was that CNBC had not improved because you thought they had not reported a $3.50 rise in the price of gold. Is that no longer your point?

One final guess on my part: is your point that the price of gold rose $3.50 today because of a "total system failure" in the world economies? If that was your point, then I guess CNBC (along with the rest of the world) must have missed that event today.
