Joan, that illustrates it well...all the middlemen are out of the picture. btw, i always thought it funny that the b2b cos. were hailed as some revolutionary holy grail promising vast riches for doing something as genuinely exciting and original as facilitating businesses buying stuff from other businesses...i mean, like, wow! :) whoever got the idea they will ever get a cut from the actual transactions needs their head examined...the internet competes such marginal profits away in no time at all. at best they are software cos. selling a useful, but still just another, piece of software. no wonder all those "strong buys" from early March suffered 80% haircuts in the meantime.... good night, hb
