"If you go back the the announcement and read between the lines, what you might see is that Qualcomm is being adamant about its royalty pricing structure and Unicom is playing brinksmanship to try to negotiate the very best deal it can possibly arrange"

Ray- I haven't been following the Qualcomm CDMA deal with China Unicom at all. Can you bring us up-to-date here on the LM.

So Unicom's message about not using CDMA was some kind of negotiating tactic?

Would you happen to know what Cisco will be supplying China Unicom per this agreement:
biz.yahoo.com

Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)

Ray, if Unicom's slice is miniscule, as you say, what is it that is taking place in China's much larger slice, with regards to air interface and pcs/wireless web genres? Point us to what the incumbent govt-owned ptt-like operations have embraced, and what they've committed to. TIA.
