Shareholders have a right to demand that the gold company they invest in, is unhedged and thereby totally bullish on the underlying commodity.

Shareholder naivety on your part and others. The company has the responsibility to maximize shareholder value, not to pander to the wishes of a minority shareholder group. And in deed, I suspect that Barrick has much more experience on how to handle gold, and gold positions then anyone one this thread.

PS: Maybe their actions are correct. Or maybe they have already alleviate their forwards & futures
