<<The fact is that the XAU has not confirmed the rally in the POG over the last few trading sessions. A Pull back is in order....>>

Perhaps it is because so many have been burned by prior rallys? If the rally in POG continues - strongly - without CB manipulation - then we shall see.

What I really expect is we will won't see the "major move" in the XAU until AFTER POG breaks $330!

POG $269 to a high of 291 (~8% gain) and XAU from 56.2 to a high of 63 (~12%) today: This looks like a miners' rally.

Did you notice that the XAU dropped back to fill this morning's gap by $.01? (Knock on wood)

Agreed, XAU looks relatively weak.

When gold hit $281.20 on May 4th, the XAU was 62.17
(ABX=18.50, NEM=27.75, AU=20.3125, PDG=9.1875, HM=7.1875)

With gold at $289, the XAU is at 61.71
(ABX=19.375, NEM=25.25, AU=21.25, PDG=9.1875, HM=7.3125)

I know I'm going to get into trouble, but ABX looks like the best performing XAU stock.

OK, I'm not saying you are wrong, just that there is a factor you may not have not taken into account in your analysis!

Consider the impact of Index funds in this market place. With the broad ownership of S&P 500 funds, SPY's, MDY's & the like, and the number of XAU members represented in above, beating all the downward selling from above products may take a day or two.
