Dear Slacker: I agree WHOLE HEARTEDLY they need to work on the packaging. At least half the population is female and looks mean more to them then utility. Nokia with those colored phones made a big hit, I dont know why ERICY cant do the same. Whats the big deal about it? Are the Swedes too conservative. JDN

Not just you ..

UGLY! (but not as bad as some, and really functional)

My taste runs to the Bosch 1886 TriBand GSM & WAP (which I may buy to replace my old Bosch "Worldphone), although I like the functionality of the The Motorola L7389e. Both pictured and specd at:

cellular.co.za

The upcoming Alcatel OneTouch 700 GPRS/Bluetooth/WAP is pretty cool too.

That 'T' Mitsubishi PocketNet I recently saw job is pretty decent packaging, has a great display, but seemed awkward to hold.

To each his own ... and in the end, I always opt for "boring" black. <g>
