The key hold back for the major OEMs was Intel microprocessors which should have much better supply in the second half of the calendar year

Thanks for the PaineWebber information.

I sure hope they are right about Intel chip production meeting demand in the second half. There has been some information that said supply was getting better now, but this is also a relatively slow time of year for sales. The end of the 3rd quarter and the 4th quarter should be the acid test, when the demand peaks.

You hate to see Intel leave unfullfilled demand when there will be new competition from "Internet appliances" and handhelds, and the Sony Playstation 2, as alternative ways to access the Internet. I think going forward there will be increasing competition from other platforms. Willamette is critical, to get it right. Restore some confidence.
