I agree with your assessment of what's going on, and yes, even Homer nods. But it is nevertheless frustrating and annoying to have Moore himself use the terms loosely, especially since he of all people should understand the important differences (for investors, competitors, and executives alike) between echt gorillas, echt kings, and those large scaly things. One would like to think that there has been progress from book to book, as evidenced by a general model that is continually being tweaked and revised over time so that it corresponds ever more closely to current reality. This kind of behavior sort of implies that Moore takes the stuff less seriously than we do, which is disturbing.
