If you take some time and talk to some of the most experienced traders on SI, they will come right out and tell you that Technical analysis has been useless to a large extent in this manic market of late. If you don't believe me, go over to the P & F thread and ask them yourself... that's one of the most technical ( and capable) bunch of traders you will find and they were at a total loss in the last downturn based solely on T/A. P&F is very useful for managing risk, especially in an orderly market. We currently have nothing of the sort <ggg> That does not mean TA is not working. P&F isn't fast enough to catch the moves that are occurring. Formation structure, volume, and derivative OI are more useful. JMO.
