thanks for the link to the article, advalorem here's what stood out to me... "Analysts say Acer may be hamstrung by its choice of operating system" by producing their own os, along with "an unidentified third party" (hmmm, who could it be now?), they appear to me to be making a strategic error. we all knew that this pda market was going to fill up with manufacturers. i like the headstart palm has and the direction they are going in. oftentimes, lesser products (if in fact the acer 'slim mate' turns out to be one) have the effect of making the quality merchandise stand out. :) mark
