New York, June 6 (Bloomberg) -- Applied Micro Circuits Corp. extended declines in after-hours
trading after an official said the company's sales to Nortel Networks Corp., its biggest customer, will
slow in the fiscal first quarter.

San Diego-based Applied Micro dropped 10 3/4, or 10 percent, to 96 5/64 in extended trading after
falling 15 13/16, or 13 percent, to 106 13/16 on the Nasdaq Stock Market. William Bendush, Applied
Micro's chief financial officer, said the percentage of sales coming from Nortel will decrease, but he
didn't specify by how much.
