I still remember the day that everything seemed fine with APCO. Suddenly, without warning near the close, the MMs dropped the stock from around $8 to the low $6s. I think we all freaked out.

A day or 2 later ... great news !!! Stock runs up to some nice, confidence refreshing price.

It was my first experience with the fact that NASDAQ MMs could be total @$$holes too ! They slammed the stock and triggered stops so the could get cheap shares. What a dirty trick.

Of course, 2 other times they pulled that stunt .... I was able to get some buy orders filled on the rebound. <g> Cuz I knew that instead of it being a sign of bad news ... it was just the opposite.

There no book I know that can teach us the stuff we've learned the hard way.
