I wonder if Gore, who is just a LITTLE busy right now, had a clue what was going on prior to hearing about this from the phone call. (And you know I am NOT a Gore Gal)
But to be fair, the reason one has management companies oversee properties is so one doesn't HAVE to bother with clogged toilets. I would hope he gave the company hell and fired their butts.
I don't think that was this big a deal at all, whether it concerned a Dem or a Rep. But what I thought was sickeningly smarmy was having them to dinner. THAT was just soo political.
(Edit: Of course if he DID know-- if they had called him before or he had any knowledge- that would alter my opinion)

I used to be a slumlord, so I can relate. When we bought our second house we decided to keep our first and rent it out. A trio of young men took the lease, they were real nice and never bothered us about repairs. As it turns out they didn't want to come over and see. It quickly became a real pig-stye. We eventually had to evict when we got letters from the city about a broken unmoving car in front of the house and the city was going to fine us if we didn't move it. Standing water in the bathroom had destroyed the bottom of the cabinets and there were burns through all the carpets. It was sad, as my wife and I had done a lot of work on that house when we lived there.
