oh, john....i stand corrected about MRVC maintaining its 23% ownership in Zaffire. it was watered down in this 3rd round of financing. i guess they DID change their minds in the last couple of weeks.

btw, for those of you who were around last year, at this time... if you remember, supercomm was pretty much a "non-event" for mrvc last year.... i mean, other than one or two awards.... CW was there, at their own booth, last year... promising a terabit router by Q1 of '00. looks like they're about ready to start delivering. very interested in hearing their presentation tomorrow. i wonder if Noam will be one of the presenters?

anyway, the point is, they didn't really use supercomm as a platform last year... i'd think with everything currently going on, it should be used this year. cnbc is obviously hooked into supercomm and mrvc desperately needs the publicity. they have a great opportunity to make a big deal about hiring a new ceo for Luminent and could get the ipo story out there upon coverage of the announcement.... i just don't understand why it's not happening...

<<further support from previous investors..

Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Juniper Networks, and MRV Communications>>

I guess from Noam's presentation we're still in the 20 - 22% range. Maybe Lavia will elaborate today.
