Charles Biedermann of Trim Tabs..the liquidity experts..is SUPER-BULLISH now on the market....says there is a ton of cash on sideline...Best Foods purchase, and huge inflows in the past week have pushed him EVEN MORE bullish than last...

Last week, he turned bullish (at the beginning of the big week)....again, due to heavy cash...

JRI, I think you might not realize that I'm agreeing with you. There are indeed rational reasons why CSCO trades at a premium to LU. That's why I don't advocate shorting CSCO. It's just that I think that CSCO is being granted too much of a premium.

BTW, one place I'll disagree with is in on your contention that CSCO is being granted a liquidity premium. Although CSCO is indeed highly liquid, that isn't really any different than for any other large cap out there (save, of course for EMC, but that's another story <g>). It is just as easy to move a 100,000 share block in GE, INTC, or LU as it is for CSCO.

the market is telling us that the internet is the....or one of the most CERTAIN growth drivers for many, many years....good economic times, or bad

Nobody knows the effect of a slowing economy on corporate or private demand on internet infrastructure. Never been there.

The question that will be resolved is - "Is the growth of internet infrastructure related to consumer and corporate demand?" Or, better stated, "Is the internet insulated from slowing in the general economy?" Here's a hint - the end of a slowdown can not be forecasted.

No need to invoke the idea that the internet will continue to grow during and after any temporary slowdown. That is obvious. But this sector is still priced for perfection, and any downward revision of growth, even by 3-5%, will injure equity values more.

BTW, the best way to make money in the market is to recognize when the market is wrong. Everything else is imitation.

Thank you for your insight JRI. Your post was copied to the CIC (Certicom) thread as noted below. On Monday Cisco announced use of Certicom's patented ECC encryption to secure wireless connection to it's wired systems.
