Ted--like you, I believe we are on the curve, so to speak, but the exposure and expanding market share must take place at a faster pace. Major financing and partnerships will be formed soon, and with the transaction and translation modules coming on board, we should see PNL and PNL-TV coming to the forefront as a leader in the SME international trading arena. This is still a young Co., but the experienced people coming on board and other things falling into place allow me to see PNL becoming a force in the B2B and B2G field very soon. Time is on our side. No quick fix here. Geno

Excellent post,Ted.

Great questions.

If I were to guess at the key issue holding us back it would be the lack of internet/web use in most other "developed" countries. With only a few exceptions (Germany, Canada, the UK, possibly Israel come to mind), the percentage of the population using the internet in overseas countries is VERY low. Usage is growing rapidly, but is still pretty much insignificant compared to what we are experiencing in the US. In most other countries the "free" phone line connections (which make the internet viable) we enjoy here are not free. Big problem.

Think back just three years to what things were like in the US - the internet/web was still a novelty. Seems strange now to ponder what all has happened in such a short time. We have experienced a culture change of major proportions.

But this revolutionary change has not yet occurred in most other countries in which PNL is trying to market their services. Ironically, I think Glenn's vision of an electronic global trading system will be a huge part in the eventual transformation of the very countries he is trying to market.

But for PNL to survive and prosper it will take a "critical mass" of overseas users who will make the concept viable - and that has to happen before PNL runs out of money to finance operations. That is the issue facing our prospective financial backers: Will the culture change in other countries occur soon enough for PNL to "get over the hump" from a revenue standpoint before it goes bankrupt?

Need a pretty good crystal ball for that one...
